Rosa didn’t want the vaccine. But her daughters, who got COVID-19 in 2020, got the vaccine. Rosa learned the vaccine was safe by watching webinars with health experts.
“I was like, I don’t want to be like left out. I want to make sure that I’m healthy. Because I don’t want to get sick, and then bring the sickness to my daughters again.”
Jesus was nervous about vaccine side effects. He read on Facebook stories of people getting sick from it. But then lots of his relatives got the vaccine. So did his wife, Lenea. So he did, too. No side effects.
“We need to understand that we need to stop spreading this thing around. Because if we don’t take our shots, that’s not going to happen.”
