Schools are welcoming back students for another year of education.

Latinos are currently the largest ethnic and racial minority in the United States. They are also the largest uninsured population in the country.

As their population continues to grow, it is going to be crucial for all Latinos to have access to quality healthcare.

This starts with Latino children.

The Connecting Kids to Coverage campaign was created for purposes such as these. With the goal of helping parents and families find the resources they are eligible for, such as Medicaid and CHIP, the campaign has launched a series of online, bilingual resources.

“The Campaign lets families know who is eligible, what benefits children can get and how to apply for coverage,” per the campaign website.

“We are especially appreciative of the support from national, regional and local organizations working with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid (CMS) to spread the word about Medicaid and CHIP.”

Fact sheets, toolkits, social media imagery, as well as email addresses and phone numbers set up for information are all part of the resources available on the Connecting Kids to Coverage website, www.insurekidsnow.gov/campaign.
